I might end up buying used, but you used to be able to get either for about $150. IS that still possible?

I just bought mine literally 10 minutes ago. i should be getting them tuesday or wednesday at the latest since i live close by

You can get them brand new for $145 from Larry at Headphile. I ordered mine the week before last. Of course, there is a slight catch.

Usually if you go into a Guitar Center and haggle with a manager, they'll lower their price. I got mine there for $150 before tax this way.

I haven't actually heard the 770's but I loved the 990's I used to have. I'm just considering the 770's because they are cheaper and I want to try closed headphones again. How big do you consider the difference to be?
