I'd make my own, but that'd be for fun/appreciation of me knowing I built it. Quality could possibly be somewhat better, but IMO it would be negligible, if it would exist at all.



the one shown in that picture looks like a mono plug...

Good call - I didn't realize it till I checked the print at the bottom. Stereo to mono. Get the grado then; still a proponent of DIY

Totally agree. A screw in not only puts a lot of weight at the jack, but makes a good third class lever, which means you can inadvertantly hit it and loosen your jack. The Grado or any other equivalent wired adapter is gentlier on your equipment.

Yeah, double check to make sure it's stereo in and out.
