Has an artists behaviour ever turned you off their music?
Mitchell in the Boston Commons 1983 (I think). She stormed off stage after stating, "When you people sit down and listen I'll return". When she finally returned, she was booed. Rightfully so imo. It took me quite a while before I felt inspired to listen to her music again.- jaduffy007

Favorite Thelonius Monk album?
Jazz historians / critics /musicians ...the major consensus would be: 1- Brilliant Corners 2- Monk's Music If you like that stuff, then work into the other Riverside albums as well as his Columbia recordings (for example, "Live At the It Club") If you just want to hear his...- jaduffy007

Help a Newbie Find - Entry Level Amps for K701
...home amp will be better than a portable with the k701...but...I use a Headamp Pico with k701 and they sound VERY good. I would say the Pico is the *entry* level for amps to drive k701. Sorry to say this, but...choosing the k701 creates serious demands on getting at least a decent amp...- jaduffy007

What do you guys think of iTunes +
...app for organization. Going out to wireless devices like Slim Systems Transporter too. I bought some iTunes Plus (256) CDs. Sounded quite good *considering*. Much better to my ears than mp3 at 256. Now I buy the physical CDs and go lossless or aiff. I *can* hear the difference between 256 and...- jaduffy007

AKG K701 with Macbook Pro
...a Macbook Pro /k701 owner. I think it's important to point out...getting an amp is important for SQ...not just for volume. I recommend only getting the k701 if you are willing to *eventually* buy an amp. Otherwise, *I* would get a pair of Grado SR80. I got the Headamp Pico with DAC for the...- jaduffy007
