Samsung galaxy nexus
Anybody figured out the headphone amp output impedance on the Galaxy Nexus? That seems far more important than the DAC particularly for balanced armature drivers.- remilard

DAC/Amp that would sound great with my hd650s, at or under $300
The Dac1 is a Dac + preamp + dual output (not balanced, two individual outputs) headphone amp. The headphone amp section was voiced for the 650. If you can track down the Stereophile review of the Dac1 I believe Atkinson performed it and mentioned listening to it specifically with the 650.- remilard

DAC/Amp that would sound great with my hd650s, at or under $300
Okay, I haven't posted here in years but I have been browsing since I just made my first headphone purchase in quite a while. I have 650s and a Benchmark Dac1, first generation, bought in 2003ish. I couldn't be happier. It looks like you can score a Dac1 close to your budget, used but it...- remilard

Quick question for our Australian members.
I have a friend who took a job a while ago in Australia, I live in the United States. I would like to send her a couple DVDs for her birthday but obviously I don't want to order the proper region DVDs pay international shipping and then pay international shipping back to Australia or anything...- remilard

I'll graduate next spring with a BS (math and economics). The bulk of my upper level background is in mathematical statistics and much of what I am taking next year is applied statistics (in the statistics and economics [econometrics] departments).- remilard

Chocolate connoisseurs? Recommend some yummy chocolates and places to buy it online!!
Second Chocosphere.com. There isn't really a chocolate shop in my city either, but I can find a lot of decent stuff so look around. Sharffen Berger is the top American brand. It isn't my favorite but it is good. The thing is, everything Sharffen Berger makes tastes the same (under roasted...- remilard

Audio equip cost to music collection value ratio
It is about 1.5:1 at this point, it was closer to 1:1 before I sold my portable rig. Other than buying another portable rig and maybe a pair of SA5ks and/or HD650s in the future I don't see investing much in equipment any time soon, the music will continue to grow, I but about 4-5 titles a month.- remilard

SA-5000 up's n down's
I don't feel the SA5000 has weak bass, I haven't heard it unamped but I have heard it out of the DAC1, an SR-71, Zemo's lambda, and an M^3 and it didn't have weak bass on any of these. If I had the money I would have an SA5000 and an HD650, I really like both.- remilard

Is Robert Horry the most clutch player ever?
I don't even see that last shot as the big shot in the game. Detroit screwed up, doubling Manu was stupid, worst case scenario you foul him on the layup and put him on the line which is better chances than giving Horry a wide open three. I see Horry's dunk as a bigger play. Maybe I am on...- remilard
