I've had over 1,000 imports and microbrews. Here is a nice list of assorted styles worthy of mention. The list is not compiled in any particular order of preference.

1 Prairie Rock - Pale Rider Ale (local brew / good every day IPA)
2 Rochefort - (Belgium / Trappist ale, brewed by monks)
3 Westmalle - (Belgium / Trappist ale, brewed by monks)
4 Three Floyds - Alpha King (Indiana / good every day IPA)
5 Hop Devil (?? / good every day IPA)
6 Bell's - Oberon (Kalamazoo MI / Steam beer? Maybe a Kolsch style? seasonal)
7 Goose Island - Summertime Ale (Chicago / Steam beer? Maybe a Kolsch style? Seasonal)
8 Bell's - Double Cream Stout (Kalamazoo MI / Creamy/ full body)
9 Spaten - Optimator (German / Dopplebock / Dessert drink)
10 Schenkerla (German / Smoked beer / tastes like barbeque / good with ribs or BBQ chicken)
11 Traquair house (Scotland / Old ale / full body and High alcohol / gets better with age)
12 Samuel Smiths - Oatmeal Stout (England / Wonderful creamy full body!)

Rochefort 10? (quad). I go back and forth between that and Westvleteren 12 for best quad, the latter is more expensive and harder to find though.

Shakespeare Stout (Rogue) is what I drink most often and is my favorite when price is considered. I can also get it on tap easily here.

Dogfish 90 minute IPA is a favorite.

Chimay Grand Reserve when I want a trappiste but don't want to spend Rochefort/Westvleteren money.

We used to get some really rare ones up here. I rarely drink the quads. I prefer the tripels. How about Delerium Tremens, the most complex beer I've ever had. You guys get Fat tire out there which is exceptional. I wish we had some here!

Rogue is getting harder to find in the Midwest. I've been craving the Mexicali and Dead Guy ale for a while now. Does Dead Guy ale still have the glow in the dark screen print on it?

North Coast's Old Stock Ale, and Bell's Oberon rank as some of the best for me, but as a rather stock, more easily attained beer is concerned, i'll always take a Newcastle Brown.

Or an Anchor Steam!

Old Stock Ale? Is that an Old ale or Barleywine style? I don't think I've had it.

I will pick some up. I've had other Samuel Smith brews that I liked, I just don't remember which ones they were. I've never had the Oatmeal Stout, however.
