Orange County, California -- Get-Togethers / 1-on-1 Auditions / Get to Know Head-fiers
I would love to have it at UCIrvine. I'm an undergraduate there and am constantly on campus. Excited to meet up with fellow headfiers. I have an HD800 + Xonar Essence One rig I can set up for audition as well. :) Quite sure we can reserve in one of the rooms in the UCI Student...- Tundramystic

How many hours straight can you wear a "comfortable" set of headphones?
I completely forget about my HD800s whenever I have them on. Theyre probably the most comfortable headphones I have worn in my life. Very anti-perspiring and cozy.- Tundramystic

SM64 vs. UM3X
To me I've only ever owned the UM3X. I would say the UM3X lacks in the fun value and it sounds very neutral, instrumental seperation itself is actually quite good but no where near the spatial preciseness of an HD800. I sold my UM3X and prefered my Monster Miles Davis Tributes far more than the...- Tundramystic

WORST headphone you ever heard?
Probably generic no-name brands made in china that have foam buds that disintegrate after a couple of usages. They sound to me like im listening to music through an small muffled air vent.- Tundramystic

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Alright, before my lunch break is over. I took a quick snapshot for you guys with the iPad. HD800's is a bit lengthy say so I call them "Stormtroopers" due to the color scheme. Up-close shots or hi-rez photos later, yeah? I enjoy looking at them just as much as listening to them.- Tundramystic

Quote: Haha, awesome. Newer cars have come up with a smart solution to that now. They won't lock the trunk or themselves if they sense the keys in the car. And when you try to manually lock them, they produce this long beep. Or so the car I drive now does that... How did I find...- Tundramystic

Quote: I remembered doing that once. I locked my keys in the trunk. Had to call the parking service guy at my university to unlock the car. Harmlessly pried open an edge with an inflatable and stuck a little wire in there to manually unlock the door, of course the alarm went off but I...- Tundramystic

Its that time again... I have an artist's block. In need for an input on some favorite digital artists (e.g. Tony Taka). I need a style to imitate for practice in diversity and just for some random inspirations..- Tundramystic

...because it's multi-core. Seriously. Just no... not all softwares utilize every single core clocking at 3.6ghz "each" (in example case in quote). *facepalm* But yeah. Making a pipeline bigger (aka making more cores) isn't going to make a stream of water flow any faster. Might...- Tundramystic

Gundam Model-Fi (Gunpla) (Post Some Pictures!)
I prefer quality over quantity (I personally would buy by thinking about the project, not the ends itself). Best part about building a Gunpla is the journey through it, enjoying how everything fits together. Then after that journey, just let it pose there and look at its glory. Its a fun hobby...- Tundramystic

Gundam Model-Fi (Gunpla) (Post Some Pictures!)
I have an MG Gundam Hi-Nu. I'm a big Gundam/Gunpla fanatic. Still am wishing to get an MG Unicorn and a PG 00 Raiser. I get very meticulous when building/sanding nubs on the kits and I take extra care to line-ink them... took me roughly 9 months to get this thing done...- Tundramystic
