Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
nice one thanks! I was worried about getting a rebranded one or something. I read about some being made in Sydney or something and them being inferior. EDIT: wow they have been around for 50 years apparently, this is exactly the type of people i like to order from, rather than some random...- wavid

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Can someone please help me buy some genuine Mullard m8100 tubes in the UK? It is my first time buying tubes and I dont want to mess up There are so many on ebay and a lot of them look different. Are any of the stores more trusted and known here? Also how important is getting a matched pair?- wavid

Portable tube amp from china?
Thanks for the tip, I went for the B4. I have been listening to it on my HD650s and its awesome! I will probably eventually stick a v5i in it but for now what are some cheaper recomended opamps I can try out? (under £15) Id like to get a few just to play around with, see if i can hear a...- wavid

Portable tube amp from china?
For this reason I am thinking of getting the b4 instead as it will only need 1 opamp upgrade Is that a better option for someone that does not plan on using any balanced headphones? Also the b4 is £20 cheaper ($25)- wavid

iFi audio's worst kept secret: the hip-dac!
This looks like a great device but I am always hesitant when buying battery powered devices, what type of battery is in this and can you replace it yourself in a few years time when it gets weaker?- wavid

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Would I be better off with the AUDIOSENSE 8 Strands 19 Core OFC Cable for £12.50 or the NICEHCK C16-3 for £17.50 or even NICEHCK 16 Core High Purity Copper Cable for £7.50 for my Tin T2 iems? I would prefer not to spend over $20 OR is there something else for under $20 I should consider?- wavid

The "non-Grado" Driver Grado Thread
I also noticed my soldering iron is 30w which is quite hot? Do you think I could have overheated it? Or would that be obvious (as in, not working at all). I am going to give it another go. I really think I must have done something wrong because they are by far my worst pair of headphones. BTW...- wavid

The "non-Grado" Driver Grado Thread
I am not very good at explaining but the bass and low mid sound very muddy while the high mid sound very congested and low detail. The highs are really damp and lack detail , they overall lack soundstage and dynamics. I hope I have explained things clearly (like I said I'm not very good at...- wavid

I have a pair of sr60i and a pair of sr225i and will most likely only keep one of them ( they sound waaay too similar to me to keep both ). I have some sr325 cups and wood cups to use. If the sr60i drivers are so similar to the sr225 is it a waste to use the sr225 drivers for modding? If I...- wavid

I am really unhappy with the sound of my SennGrados housed in 325 cups. They are the worst sounding headphones I own and I find my sr60s a lot more enjoyable to listen to. Should I try something else? Nhoord or Symphony?- wavid

Chinese / Asian Brand IEM Info Thread
I own a pair of Tin T2, KZ ZST and ZSRs and I was thinking about getting something for 11.11. I think I might just get another T2 (I always misplace them and am often stuck having to listen to one of the KZ iems), they are one of my fav sounding headphones. Can anyone recommend something else...- wavid

Yea, someone suggested earbuds earlier actually, I might order a pair of Monk+ and see how she likes them. I have been curious about those myself so it wont be for nothing if she doesnt like them. I am in the UK actually, thanks for the offer though.- wavid

I did a bit of looking around and it seems as though most drivers use graphene or titanium, or just do not specify what they use. I did find a pair of VSonic GR07 that have a single dynamic driver and use a "390 layer composite Bio-cellulose diaphragm"....whatever that is.. That might be worth...- wavid
