Buying HD380 or HD595 help
If you decide to go the HD595 route, I suggest saving the cash, getting the HD555's, and performing this mod. They both share the same drivers, and with the simple mod, you won't be able to tell much, if any, of a difference. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/hd5...-video-475511/- JDGAFFLIN

Recommendation on neckbands...
I only have the iGrado's, but I enjoy them immensley. Others have had issues with the band being incomfortable, but I haven't had an issue one. I love the sound. My only really issue is the cord, which is extremely flimsy.- JDGAFFLIN

Cowon to release the D3, it will run on Android
Hmmm... A decent sounding phone with BBE enhancements (My favorite in regards to players).. Interseting thought. Speaking of which, how is the sound quality of the Droid? I use a WebOS device, and while it's ok in a pinch, it lacks any real depth. (SQ wise..) As an OS, I like WebOS.- JDGAFFLIN

Cowon to release the D3, it will run on Android
I just wish they would release a high capacity (64GB or more) player, that concentrated on music SQ only, without the bells and whistles of a touch screen, wi-fi, or some exotic OS. I understand that convergence gadgets are the wave of today, and that fine. I still prescribe to the master of...- JDGAFFLIN

One more. I still think the DT231/DT235 offerings from Beyer are a stellar choice in the under $100.00 price range.- JDGAFFLIN

What cheap < 50~100€ portable rechargable amp
I don't have an E5, but I do have a PA2v2. I'm using mine mainly with Sennheiser HD555's and Grado SR60's, and there is absolutely no hiss whatsoever.- JDGAFFLIN

Gary sends them out classified as a gift, so the shipping is really inexpensive. You should just email him with your questions. His customer service is impeccable.- JDGAFFLIN

Hey there, new guy here..
I have the HD555's, and I think they are a solid all around can for most genres of music. There is a relatively simple foam removal mod that opens them up a lot, and put's them on par with the Sennheiser HD595's, as they have the same drivers. They are however, a VERY open can.- JDGAFFLIN
