    IEMs primarily for rap/hip-hop

Yes that sounds like what I want, Endless. I used to be big on bass, but I want the lyrics to take center stage now.

    IEMs primarily for rap/hip-hop

Something in the RE0 range would be nice..like around 100. I'm not a huge basshead to be honest.

    IEMs primarily for rap/hip-hop

It seems like the RE0 is the best deal possible in IEMs, but I'm not so sure how they'd do for rap. Any recommendations?

    HFI 780 vs SRH840

Anyone else who has heard both? Mine are recabled but they still have a weird tonality. Maybe it's just the Ultrasone sound I don't like

    Good amp for hfi 780?

Right now I'm using a udac connected to a hifiman ef2, but I've heard that the 780 does better with solid states.

    Shure SRH840 and others?

Eh..If you're not using an amp, I've heard the 750s are disappointing. A good portable would be the ES9WA

I'm going to guess Sennheisers desperately NEED recabling !!!

Well then how do you explain a phone like the HFI 780, where a recable CLEARLY improves the sound?

Why do so many headphones have crappy stock cables?

Hfi 780, ahd2000, etc. Do they just pour all of the money into the drivers or what?

High quality closed headphone, no amp needed help

Eh there's not really any 300 range headphones that will do great without amping. I'd req the Shure 440 for that, which is only around 90 or 100 bucks.

I still feel like my HFI 780 sounds better when I just use the udac instead of combining the two. I really don't understand it.

Was looking to get these for gym phones, and I saw the Kramer Mod. Do you have to have a drill in order to perform this mod? All I have really is an exacto knife.
