It seems like the RE0 is the best deal possible in IEMs, but I'm not so sure how they'd do for rap. Any recommendations?

I wouldn't get the RE0's for rap / hip-hop are you might find the bass lacking. budget?

Something in the RE0 range would be nice..like around 100. I'm not a huge basshead to be honest.

I would have to disagree with you chinesekiwi. I believe that the RE0s works quite well for rap / hip-hop. It's subjective, I agree, but I prefer listening to the lyrics as opposed to the heavy oomphs every other second. Eminem's new single Not Afraid was great; you can hear every word he says clearly as opposed to listening it from some Monster Beats where the bass overwhelmed all his lyrics. 
 
There is bass on the RE0s, but it just all comes down to whether you want emphasis on the beat or vocals. I prefer vocals, so, RE0's are just for me.

Yes that sounds like what I want, Endless. I used to be big on bass, but I want the lyrics to take center stage now.
