Problem with Sony D-EJ01 CD player
I was having this problem again (for the second time in two days) with my roomate's unit. DanG and I had a conversation earlier this year about not dropping the batteries into the compartment, so I knew it wouldn't be the inside springs. tone-deaf, you are brilliant! thank you! I assume...- HeadWired

Problem with Sony D-EJ01 CD player
DanG, I had the EXACT scenario play out two nights ago. Spooky. Hadn't used my player in a while; the whole bit. The only thing I did differently than you was thatI tried replacing them with two extra batteries I have stored (not in a player) and they were as dead as the ones in the player...- HeadWired

Ety 4's and Static Electricity
That's because you're listening to Electonica music. Man, that's so bad, I have to amend this post.>>>> Actually, no I have not experienced it for myself. I will say however that at the meet this weekend, I got a little static shock as I was handing off the headphones to someone else. I...- HeadWired

Dallas Meeting Pictures!
Well, it was the "coolest" bunch of geeks I've ever seen in one room. I had a great time and besides being cool, these guys are just downright nice guys. I was practically the grandpa age-wise, but it was great to talk to people about headphones and music and not have them glaze over after 20...- HeadWired

Ety questions
Ha! Well, you don't have to actually spit on them or lick them like well, something. You basically can just wet your lips and "kiss" the tips of the Etys. You know, kinda just brush the tips on the outside of your moistened lips. You'll get used to it. Come on! I know you WANT to.- HeadWired

DVD setup disc?
I use Video Essentials also and it's great. I use it to calibrate my projector and scaler and the instructions are very good. If I can do it, anyone can. There is something out there called the Ulimate DVD. My advise is to run the other way if you see this one on the shelf. It is horrible. I...- HeadWired

What's your favourite movie(s)????
"This is one of my favorite parts of the tour. Say hello to our residents, Pedro and Inez. Pedro is working on an "adobe." Can you say that with me? " "Adobe." "Inez is holding a clay pot, of which she seems to be very proud. She has decorated it with much paint and glaze."- HeadWired

Dance/electronica suggestions?
Quote: "One of probably the best recommendations I would suggest are any of the DJ-mix albums on the Global Underground label. The label features some of the best DJ's on the planet. " Good suggestion, Mac. I have 5 or 6 of these myself. They seem to be a bit more "trancey" than... -
Poll: Mega Bass: Love it or hate it?
edog, I know you are into dance/electronica so I can see how you would want to recreate that "club sound" but that's good that you don't use it w/ the amps. I would tell you to try to force yourself to listen w/out the bass boost for one full day and see what you think, especially w/ the Etys...- HeadWired

What's your favourite movie(s)????
We are such "guys". This list is total "man show" stuff. So I have to put in my plug for "American Beauty". You have to be old enough to understand dissapointment to get this movie, but it's brilliant. And jodokast, people look at me funny when I put Perfect Storm on a great movie list...- HeadWired

Bose Headphones (new?)
LOL ! KR if that's true, then the joke's on me! The reason I believed B&Wman is that I hear this all day long at my work with the Muggles I have to work with. People just don't know the truth about Bose. I bet every 2nd desk at my office has one of those Bose radio thingys they advertise on TV...- HeadWired

Stereophile comments on Sony V6
I agree...my newly-discovered-in-a-junk-drawer V6's are very harsh in uppers. Also, I find the bass a bit boomy. That being said, I have spent a good portion of the past few days playing with these. I like 'em over-all. They just aren't my "reference" phones. But I'm VERY glad to know...- HeadWired
