[TEASER] Massdrop x ??? - New Custom In-Ear Monitor available September
Question: how does the purchase work? I'm assuming that payment will be through Massdrop, but the impressions? Do I have to ship it over by myself or can I rope in the local distributor to help me ship it over to Poland? If have to do it, is there a recommended way to pack and ship these...- Artem

New custom IEM company - Custom Art: discussion, review, and impressions thread
I was auditioning the harmony 8 pro over the weekend and i am totally in love with the sound signature. However I have some concerns. Firstly, this being my first custom, I'm not sure if I will be comfortable with the long stems. Is it possible to request for slightly shorter stems without...- Artem

Recommendation for office head phones under £150/$250
Grados are leaky but another consideration is also the volume that you listen to. I found that if you dont listen at excessive volumes, it isn't THAT bad. My partner could barely hear my music when i was seating about 1m away from her. Have you looked at the Marshall series? Both Marshall and...- Artem

DX90, DX50, X5, X3...How much of a difference with CIEMs?
Anyone? Somewhere in the reviews, the X5 and X3 seem to share a comparable amp section (both care capable of churning out plenty of power). Their difference lies in their DAC section. Only DX50 and DX90 differ on both DAC and amp section. I'm getting confused by it all..- Artem

DX90, DX50, X5, X3...How much of a difference with CIEMs?
Hi all, I know that all these varies on their DAC chip and their implementation. But after reading eke's thread about the various DAPs, I think the overall consensus is that while there are differences, it is quite small and we are splitting hairs. So i 'm going to just focus on the amp...- Artem

alternatively, you can wear it like the third picture with the cable cinch to make a snug fit. I personally prefer the third way of wearing since the cables disappear behind me and I'm free to do my things. My ears are of a weird shape that doesn't conform to the ear guides so those become...- Artem

First set of CIEMs. Help needed.
Joker has got high praises for the 4S. Since I've never heard the fxt90 before, I'm relying on Joker's review of them to give suggestions. The sonic description of the fxt90 seems more in line with the 4C. I'm not implying that the music two pales in comparison, but i think the 4C will provide...- Artem

First set of CIEMs. Help needed.
What is the current IEM that you are using now? I used to like a V-shape signature, but with time i changed to a balance signature kind of person. It depends on what kind of "fun" you are looking at. Some wants musicality, others prefer slightly boosted bass and treble response. For...- Artem

First set of CIEMs. Help needed.
I was about to suggest the CustomArt series, but from your options you seem to be leaning towards a V-shape signature. The Noble series are good. I just managed to audition the N3 at one of the local dealers and it is a fun sounding IEM when i got a good seal. I can only imagine the sound...- Artem

How tape mod damage IEM & Headphones drivers?
All that i am aware of is that the dynamic driver will become over-pressurized inside the housing. As for whether or not it will affect the balance armatures, I can't say with certainty. -

I'm guessing you can change the magnification setting to somewhere below 100%? That should help. Crtl + [up/down on the scroll wheel of the mouse]- Artem

Economies of scale? They mght have streamlined their production process and able to do the same thing for cheaper. Regardless of it, LMUE has confirmed that the classics used the same bio-cellulose drivers so there is nothing to argue about here. As for the Bass edition, it is a slightly...- Artem

Looking for brighter SE215 alternative
Are you looking for something brighter in comparison to the SE215 or brighter objectively? Bright is a description for the treble range but there are a lot of ways an IEM can appear brighter. One way to to attenuate the bass response so that the focus can be given to the other frequency...- Artem

high-end IEM, is it worth it?
Terminology varies with people, so this is my variant of the word punchy. Punchy: Imagine punches. The bass hits you when it is present in the music, not lingering for too long. It won't overwhelm the mid-range of the music and the general presentation. When i use the word "feel", I'm...- Artem

Need Reccomendation for DAP & AMP for use with Shure SE846...
Depends on who you are asking. A purist will tell you to get another set of IEMs that fits your favourite signature and not mess with EQ. Others will say that EQ exist to tweak the signature to fit your liking. I, for one, have no issue with people using the EQ settings. In fact, there's a...- Artem

high-end IEM, is it worth it?
What do you exactly mean when you say strong bass? Is it the kind where you can "feel" it? Or do you mean clear, punchy bass? If your answer is the first, I'll go with the SE215. The LTD version comes with boosted low end, but make sure you get the blue one, iirc. If your answer is the...- Artem
