Hey people

I just bought a Sony XBA-H3. The bass is too much for me and I was recommended doing a tape mod with a pinhole on it. Further research shows warning that this mod can cause damage to the driver.

It's interesting and essential to know whether it can really damage the drivers and how exactly it can damage drivers.

Any take on this?

All that i am aware of is that the dynamic driver will become over-pressurized inside the housing. As for whether or not it will affect the balance armatures, I can't say with certainty.
