Successor to the H-300?
Hey guys, I haven't been back here in a while. Looking for some suggestions as to what the next step up might be for someone who really enjoyed the T-Peos H-300s. They've served me well, but I the right driver was damaged and is slowly dying now so I'm on the lookout for an upgrade. I...- Bohdy

"Extreme Shield" IEMs- are these legitimate? {UPDATE 30/5/14} Yes they are legit- Pics and impressions!
Seems like a case where the ceo has no clue and thinks that BS marketing is the way to move units, but actually ended up hiring a competent Tech team. Shame really :-/- Bohdy

REVIEW: Ostry KC06A - A New Winner
Nice review. KC06A has quickly become one of my favourites. I'd say it's the only IEM I've had that didn't require any calibration to achieve a great sound to my ears. It's just a natural all-rounder!- Bohdy

T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.
I'm not sure if the altones came with them but I definitely preferred the biflange tips with the H300, Altones big brother. Smoothed out the highs while keeping bass and detail quite well.- Bohdy

Suggested IEM for rockboxed Sansa Clip+
Sansa Clip is quite a good player, and works well with IEMs that tend to the bright side, as the treble is quite smooth on it. Best I have heard for rock and metal is the T-Peos H-300, which you can now get in the "no frills" version as Altone200 for significantly less $$. See here for info...- Bohdy

Interesting impressions as always. Your description makes them sound very similar to the KC06A in sound quality and signature. I'm curious if these can justify being $30 more. Maybe in ruggedness at least.- Bohdy

T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.
I think it's the same with any early adoption, yes you can get the product sooner than usual and cheaper and the hype makes it quite tempting besides, but you run the risk of defects in the first run and are effectively paying to beta test in many cases! Just have to be aware of what you're...- Bohdy

T-PEOS H-300 - 3 Way Hybrid Impressions and Appreciation Thread
Yeah the driver may be same kind, but likely the size of the housing/chamber gives the H300 gives it a bit more bass kick.- Bohdy

No worries. It's the same for the peaky treble btw; a bit of eq, a different source, or different tips can make a world of difference in taming that treble.- Bohdy

THE OSTRY KC06A ! THE GUY WHO SURPRISES WITH SOUND, CLASS,LOOK AND MANY MORE, :D
I'm really loving these headphones. The fit was a little tricky at first, but once I figured it out they clicked. I can't put my finger on exactly what is so great about these, as I have heard better in each individual aspect, but they are just so well tuned and just plain enjoyable to...- Bohdy

BASS SHOCK: Am I crazy???!
Try the KSC-75. They have big bass, but its quite well controlled and doesn't get in the way of the clear yet dynamic sound. They won't give you any isolation, but I think they are perfect for running, cycling, walking, etc. And for the price, not much to lose I think...- Bohdy

Yeah as others have said the sub bass will not be ever present like in some phones, which is a conscious choice by T-Peos to keep it clean, but when the track calls for it, it should present and with AUTHORITY! If you're not seeing this, then something is wrong. If you are seeing this, but...- Bohdy

Best IEM for Metal music
Sorry to resurrect the thread, but I recently picked up the Ostry KC06A, and I just wanted to say that for a budget price (I got mine for $65), they are a great earphone for metal! Main features are a dynamic, engaging sound, strong bass so you can feel the drum kick, good clarity and sparkle...- Bohdy

It's interesting H20, regarding the sands clip. I also agree that it pairs very well with the H300/Altone, but I found it sounded much better with default firmware than with Rockbox on! I couldn't tell you why....- Bohdy

H-300 owner here. If the Altones are similar as described then the bass will have plenty of power, but also be very clean with minimal profile. If you like driving around in cars that go DOOF DOOF, you will be disappointed, but if you like drums that sound like DRUMS, T-Peos will give you that...- Bohdy

I'm annoyed at myself to be considering this, but is there any advantage to getting the Altone 200 for a H-300 owner, apart from comfort? Can someone give a more detailed breakdown of the difference in sound?- Bohdy

Reccomendation $300 or less. Power Metal
I find the T-Peos H-300 very good for metal, excellent bass (drums!), an engaging dynamic sound, and exceptional clarity. However some albums would definitely need EQ applied to reduce the fatigue levels from the treble spike. So it's great, but not perfect. And you need to be willing to EQ to...- Bohdy
