JVC's new flagship DX2000?
Thanks for posting this. I was on the fence about buying from them and you have steered me away. Anyone know of other places to buy these in the US? That's unfortunately the only place I see with them when I search.- jbarr1989

HeadAmp Headphone Demos -- Sign up now for HiFiMAN HE-560
That's probably the most exciting thing that there could possibly be a demo for at the moment (in my opinion at least). :) I've been contemplating buying a pair for a while now but would definitely love to have a chance to hear them first!- jbarr1989

Help with Headphone selection w/o amp $400? (Over the ear)
I would definitely check out the Shure 1540 as well at that price point. They can be had at about $400 and will sound excellent with little power. Hd600/650 are definitely a solid recommendation and are still the best >$500 HPs IMO as long as your sony can power them adequately.- jbarr1989

WHERE TO BUY high end in-ears In PITTSBURGH??????WHERE!?
To be honest I'm not sure about exactly where they are in the airport, I actually have not been to the airport in quite some time. I just know about the store because I've read a few people on here and other sites say they have listened to/bought the se846 there. Your best bet would probably...- jbarr1989

WHERE TO BUY high end in-ears In PITTSBURGH??????WHERE!?
Unfortunately that's the only one I know of in the area (with more high end offerings at least). There are the less exciting places like Guitar Center that carry some stuff but nothing too high end. I know that InMotion carries the Shure line of iems which many people would highly recommend (I...- jbarr1989

WHERE TO BUY high end in-ears In PITTSBURGH??????WHERE!?
I live in Columbus, Ohio but am from the pittsburgh area originally. I believe there is an InMotion store in the airport. I know some people have checked out shure 846s at those stores although I haven't been to one personally.- jbarr1989

Audeze LCD-2 vs Grado GS1000i
I have owned both and would personally recommend the Gs1000 as well. I actually prefer them over the PS1000 and they are easily my favorite HPs Grado offers at the moment. Never understood why they get so much negative feedback around here.- jbarr1989

HiFiMan HE-300 to V-Moda M-100. Upgrade or sidegrade? [Solved, getting Senn. Momentum]
To be honest I can't say I prefer one over the other overall. I really expected to prefer the TH900s in every single way when I bought them. The 900s have superior clarity and imaging, although not by a huge margin. Their bass extends lower than the D7Ks, but isn't quite as full and doesn't have...- jbarr1989

HiFiMan HE-300 to V-Moda M-100. Upgrade or sidegrade? [Solved, getting Senn. Momentum]
I agree with you here completely! That's why of all of the headphones I've owned I ended up keeping the TH900s and D7Ks, my two absolute favorite HPs. The LCD-2/3s definitely have slightly boosted bass, although I didn't find it as satisfying overall, not quite as full. Denon/Fostex have the...- jbarr1989

HiFiMan HE-300 to V-Moda M-100. Upgrade or sidegrade? [Solved, getting Senn. Momentum]
I only had a brief experience with the M100s but "clean" is the last word I would ever use to describe their bass response. To me it sounded a bit flabby and bloated. I feel like I like bass heavy gear for the most part, but you'd have to be an all out "basshead" to be a fan of the M100s. Not...- jbarr1989

And it's not the bass quantity, rather the quality of the bass that makes me dislike the M100s.- jbarr1989

HiFiMan HE-300 to V-Moda M-100. Upgrade or sidegrade? [Solved, getting Senn. Momentum]
Ok, maybe a little exaggeration there, they certainly aren't absolute garbage. I just don't think they would be much of an upgrade from what he currently has. I prefer a similar sound signature (warm, bassy) but have never really been a fan of any V-moda headphones I've tried. The reason I...- jbarr1989

No need to be rude. Just trying to help out. The M100s (as well as every other V-Moda headphone I've tried) sound like absolute garbage. Just trying to save you some pennies.- jbarr1989

HiFiMan HE-300 to V-Moda M-100. Upgrade or sidegrade? [Solved, getting Senn. Momentum]
He400 or the upcoming He400i maybe? I seriously doubt the M100s would be much of an upgrade (if any) from your He-300s.- jbarr1989
