Audio Technica ATH-M40x: The Little Brother that Could
I had an M40X but returned it after a few weeks due to being uncomfortable but they sounded great. Adorama has them for $65 shipped from time to time. It's a steal at that price.- TonePusher

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal
Maybe there's a subtle change and some people can hear it and some can't which is why the reviews are so confusing? Is there something you're not happy about with your K553? I just bought one so I was curious. Also curious to see if there's a difference when you get the MKII.- TonePusher

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal
I was looking for the differences between the K5XX series and came across this review which says the drivers are different. He even went as far as swapping drivers. http://www.head-fi.org/products/akg-k553-pro-closed-back-studio-headphones/reviews/14103- TonePusher

Which is more important to you: PORTABLE or HOME rig?
I'd choose whichever I would use more. In my case, I do more listening at home. My portable consists of 1G 1GB shuffle + Crossroads Mylar X3 = very portable.- TonePusher

When I ordered my black ones with silver rings, I just clicked the button under... "Made a deal with us ? Paying a discounted / non-standard / special price ? Use this button." Which case is better for protection? Hard clear plastic or thin soft rubber/silicone?
I vote for silicone. I applied BSE on my ZVM and it's in a silicone case. Only thing I hate about it is it becomes a dust magnet but it doesn't slide around in my car because the silicone is kinda sticky.- TonePusher

wire mesh for Grado mod
That looks great soMn. I've been looking for some mesh that would look similar to the stock grado ones. I guess there's no excuse for me not to do the mod now . Edit: soMn, is there a direct link to the mesh you bought? I'm having a hard time finding it. Thanks.- TonePusher
