AKG k701 or BEYERDYNAMIC DT-880 PRO
Cool thread I was thinking about posting the same one! I think that probably the 701s would be a better choice if you don't want to shell out the big bucks for a really nice amp, since the impedance is so much lower for the 701s than for the 880s.- spurlints

Shure SE530 for $150 - Need Advice
my thoughts are...who is the seller? lol bought some "se310s" on ebay for $90...yeah, right. Got 'em, both sides read "R" for "right" and sounded like crap. Seller was only too happy to issue me a refund once I'd threatened to contact every internet fraud agency in the book. lol Moral of the...- spurlints

Will I be disappointed?
HeadRoom has a 30 day refund/exchange guarantee, so I don't think you'll have a problem dealing with them. You supposedly don't even have to give a reason.- spurlints

Joining Team Grado -- spring for the SR80 or save money with the SR60?
The 80s have better bass, but the 60s are probably a better deal.- spurlints

SE420 or e4c?
I believe the 420s were specially designed for high quality recordings, so if you have a good source, I'd say go for the 420s instead. Plus, it's dual drivers, as others have mentioned!- spurlints

best IEM for comfort while sleeping?
Are the q-JAYS out yet? HeadRoom apparently doesn't have them yet. PK2s are a nice thought too, but I wonder if they isolate very much? Also, I haven't tried that many earbuds that are comfy.- spurlints

best IEM for comfort while sleeping?
So, I'm really happy with my (relatively) new SR60s, but I live in a pretty noisy dorm--no roommate, but still lots of sound leaks through the walls http://hfimage.head-fi.org/smilies/mad.gif Therefore, when I save up the money, I'd like to get some IEMs that I can listen to while I go to...- spurlints
