happens regardless of source, and with or without the extension cable (although touching the extension cable produces a much less noticeable noise)

it only happens on the side that's wired directly though... and it isn't that i'm just noticing it now... humming or talking doesn't do anything noticable/unusual... just touching the cord

iaudio players are all 10 bucks off from suntecin.com, or significantly more if you go for an older model.

atrac is also a downer if you already have your songs ripped, reencoding them into atrac is definitely a quality loss

my faith in humanity has been reaffirmed! some rep from jetaudio reccomended I buy my player from suntec, slightly cheaper than their ebay auction including the cost of 3 day shipping. that site is probably the best place to buy iaudio stuff, excellent prices, reccomended by the company...

and now all the auctions by this seller ship only to usa what a ripoff/waste of my time
