I'll actually weigh in on this one.. I keep my IEMs in mint tins, believe it or not. My PL30s fit perfectly into one of those little eclipse mint tins (the smaller ones) and they're sturdy as anything. I can drop textbooks on them and leave them in my bag without fear they'll get damaged...
