Truthear Impressions/Discussion
I am using medium size silicone tips as I am not a fan of foam tips and both dual flange tips did not seal right for me, and uncomfortable too. Driving the IEMs with the amazing Tanchjim Space and a 4.4 mm balanced cable too. BTW within this price range a multi connector cable should be...- Matias

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
About opamps no idea, but volume memory I suppose is a volume setting that is kept between uses. Some dongles have independent volume control but once you disconnect and connect again, it loses the last volume and starts from a factory-defined setting.- Matias

It is very possible, and actually IMO it is a 80/20 rule: with 2 bands you knock down the 2 main room modes, and use the other for fine tuning.- Matias

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
For low power and sensitive IEMs the most important spec it very low noise floor, SNR and DR. But even with lots of unnecessary power, 4.4 mm balanced outputs usually have lower crosstalk too so that is a bonus.- Matias

I guess it is more design choice than actual heat needing to be dissipated. As in marketing first, reliability later hehe.- Matias

For those looking for a minimalist dongle with high quality and mic support (calls, games, etc), a shame the Meizus with CS43131 were discontinued. So I tried this Keysion below (35 usd), based on ESS ES9281 DAC chip with good measurements, and it sounds great and works fine. Just add a Truthear...- Matias

Yes, volume for balanced outputs to the amp and to the headphone are stored separately, they never "forget" and go to full volume, AutoRef is genius to have maximum SNR, and this should be an excellent pairing. Don't forget to add a subwoofer later when po$$ible.- Matias

Most 4.4 mm dongles should power them fine, but you will need 4.4 mm balanced cable for your HD6XX. I suggest: https://shenzhenaudio.com/products/tanchjim-space-dual-cs43131-portable-usb-dac-amp https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005067078350.html- Matias
