They still work but the frame/structure of them are pretty bad. I was using rubber bands to hold them together so I can use them but its annoying to keep messing with them and they don't get close enough to my ears. I tried to RMA them, I had them for less than a year actually. They wanted $140...

my c700's died in 3 months of use and i couldn't find a way to rma them so i need to buy something. I listen to all kinds of music so just throw something out there in the $40-80 range, i might be willing to spend alittle more.

is there any soldering required to switch opamps on the prelude?

get a new sound card, i don't think an amp would help

i wouldn't even consider bose... i have the hd595's and the sr325i's and i haven't touched the 595's since i got the sr325's. Alot of people are saying grado's hurt their ears, that has never happened to me and i have some big ears(lol)

580s aren't easy to drive, go with hd555's or hd595's

this really does happen? i was kinda worried when i first got my sr325i's that if i hanged them the band wouldn't be able to hold the drivers. I guess i will just leave these headphones on my desk from now on

hd555 is comfy,well rounded and falls into your price range. I think it's $70 on amazon

mines woobles a bit and i think it came that way. Just get a protector for the ds and it will wooble less
