Need advice on purchase of multipurpose In-Ears
Consider the UE Triple-fis. You can generally find them on the for sale/trade forum for $100 or so. As long as you get a good seal, they isolate great have awesome sound quality for the money -- punchy bass and sparkling highs, I've also found them to be very rugged and can take a lot of...- rodneymjones

Mini-Review: digiZoid ZO "portable subwoofer"
I'm in need of another portable headphone amp since my Little Dot Micro+ is MIA and have always yearned for better EQ control when using my iPhone. I just ordered mine from sharperimage.com. I'm really excited to hear what this will do.- rodneymjones

The definitive upgrade?
IMHO the HFI-780's are not very comfy. Maybe I've got a big head, but they were really tight. I've owned the D2000's and still own the HD650's...both are very comfortable. The 650's are not basshead cans but very musical from lowest thumps to tinkliest highs. They are without a doubt the best...- rodneymjones

I need an extremely lightweight, cheap, isolation headphone, any help?
I've got the Senn HD 238's...they're open, but the 228 are the comparable closed cans. They 238's are VERY comfortable and sound great. The 228's are only $55 on Amazon.- rodneymjones

Denon AH-D2000 - Hard to drive?
I bought a pair of Denon D2000's a few years ago (post). I was very unimpressed with them because I couldn't get enough volume for my old ears. Shortly after, I bought a pair of HD650's and retired the Denon's to the closet. Tonight I decided to pull then Denon's out and give them another...- rodneymjones

Advice needed: Amp < $300
I've spend the last year or so learning about headphones...what I like/don't like. Now, I'm starting to learn about amps. Right now, my primary cans are Beyer DT990s (250 ohm) and Denon D2000s. What are some opinions on the best amp in the $300 range for these cans. And, do you recommend...- rodneymjones

What are the most comfortable cans for extended listening sessions?
I have the DT880s and I agree that they are incredibly comfortable. My office is kinda noisy, so I really need to use cans that provide some isolation. Based on everything I've read, it seems that Denon D2000's are going to be my answer. I really appreciate everyone sharing their opinions!- rodneymjones

What are the most comfortable cans for extended listening sessions?
I'm looking for something to wear at work. Right now I'm using some Senn HD497's. They are nice and light, but get hot after a while and the sound quality is certainly lacking. I need something that's easy to take on and off so IEM's are probably out. What do you recommend that will be...- rodneymjones

$200 headphone: d2000 vs dt880 or others. Need opinions
The 880s are really a great headphone. They are bright, but not nearly so much as something like the Grado 325s or Ultrasone HFI-780s. The isolation on them is a lot better than I expected with a semi-open can.- rodneymjones

Replacement pads for Ultrasone HFI-2200. Will 2500's work?
I got the scoop from a rep at Ultrasone USA. Both the 750 and 2500 pads will fit the 2200's. The pads for the 750 are velour on the outside and pleather on the inside for better isolation. The pads for the 2500 are all velour. Thanks for the link for the headband pad, Leto A.- rodneymjones

Replacement pads for Ultrasone HFI-2200. Will 2500's work?
I recently traded for a pair of HFI-2200's. The pads are in need of replacement. I'm not a huge fan of the color, so i was wondering if anyone knows if the pads for the 750's or 2500's will fit?? Also, the pad on the top of the headband was missing. Does anyone know where I can buy a...- rodneymjones

How does triple.fi compare to super.fi 5 pros?
Hi. I've been using a pair of super.fi 5 pros for about a year and absolutely love their sound. I love that I can hear the fret noise on acoustic guitar tracks and the overtones on acoustic pianos. I also like the punchy bass they give to dance music. I purchase some e500's but they lacked...- rodneymjones

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the moldings of a pair of UE10s replaced with new molds for another person?
