TOPPING DX3 Pro
I would recommend anyone thinking of purchasing this read the entire review thread over on another popular review forum. The unit seems to exhibit odd clicking behaviour over usb.- Bigsy

IEM customs reshell inearz vs inearcentral, my experience.
Where are the glowing reviews from people that don't have 1 post and joined same day? Very suspect. Me, I'm still waiting... 5 or is it 6 months now? I don't know I lose count and I'm certainly not being kept in the loop by anyone with regards to my order status. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE...- Bigsy

Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW!
Just wanted to thank the countless people that have contributed to this thread as the t50rp's have been a success story for me. Out the box I really was sure but after modding with things I had laying around I'm very happy. Make my takstar pro80, hi2050 and dt770 all sound like a muddy mess. My...- Bigsy

IEM customs reshell inearz vs inearcentral, my experience.
I wish this info was on the forum a few months back, I did do a search and could see nothing negative. They have a set of ue900 and I've paid for a few mods plus reshell at the end of april. Hmm guess theres nothing I can really do but wait it out.- Bigsy

Aune T1 USB Tube DAC+ SS Amp Discussion Thread ***See first post for FAQ--Updated on 02/14/15***
So I got one of these today as I needed a dac for the office etc, so far I'm not totally blown away I have to say. I mean it doesn't sound bad, maybe this thread just got me a little too hyped. I don't have all my decent equipment here at the moment to give it a good listen and compare but I do...- Bigsy

Playaz N1
I've been using my TD100's for a few days now (they have been playing non-stop) and I can't notice any difference in the sound at all. I can tell as they sound so much like the N1's (when both eq'ed to my liking) I already have so its easy to compare and listen to any improvements. It...- Bigsy

Playaz N1
Got my TD100's today, sound wise; I wouldn't put these over my EQ'ed N1's but to be fair they have had 9 months of burn-in and these are just out the packet, so I'll give them a chance. But obvioulsy for 20 euros they're still spectacularly good. They do feel a lot more sturdy and I don't...- Bigsy

Playaz N1
Well 8 months after starting this thread my N1's are still going strong, lasting much longer than my IE8's did, so the build quality can't be that bad. Ordered the TD100's yesterday from Thomas' site given the special price, hope you guys are right about their quality :)- Bigsy

Playaz N1
Not sure if its been mentioned but my KM92's came today and sound no where near as good as my N1's. As for EQ'in the N1's I find they sound best on my s618f (sony) than any other player I have (inc S639F and fuse). And N1's are still doing it for me, I've had virtually all the top end IEMS...- Bigsy

Playaz N1
Not 100% sure as the black plastic bit on the end of them is actually metal on my playaz, but yeah the rest of the shell looks the same at least. I'll buy some and see as I was going to buy up some spares from the ebay seller I got these originally and hes put his prices up to £130+ quite a...- Bigsy

Playaz N1
I agree completely, and having spent some time with these now I would say the are my favorite IEM's ever, I would even rate them over my IE8's I sent back, really. Thing that did it for me was the following little mod: For some reason they had foam packed behind quite thick wax guards, I...- Bigsy

Volume imbalance in IE8 - any solutions?
I've also had this problem, I found that it would actually come back normal after a little while of using them, but then the otherside started doing it too. I've actually requested a refund, I have no faith in them anymore.- Bigsy

Playaz N1
This isn't so much of a review, as I'm really no reviewer, just some thoughts I have on these IEM's. I might add a few more impressions after they have burnt in a bit. Firstly, let me just say these were an impulse buy as my IE8's have been sent back faulty and a guy on here (james i think?)...- Bigsy

Need some new high end IEMS recommendations
Thanks for the comments guys, I will read up further on the HP-FX500s, but again they seem impossible to buy in the UK and the design worries me compared to westone in regards to comfort, I found se530s very comfortable and westones are in a similar vein. I found theres on the bay: WESTONE 3...- Bigsy

Need some new high end IEMS recommendations
I've fallen out of the headphone loop and just had to send my IE8's back as they were faulty, but don't want another pair. Great sound, build quality and comfort too poor to consider again. In the past I have had: sfp5 - (using them as back up now) love these things just missing a bit of...- Bigsy

Sennheiser ie8 broke, uk returns?
Mine have broken in a weird way and their now quieter than they should be and don't sound right, I would return them to where I bought them (Microwarehouse | Best Deals on Laptops, Desktop PCs, MP3 Players, Printers & more) but as their a non specialist I have a feeling they would get returned...- Bigsy

What to upgrade to from NWZ-S618F
Thanks, would you consider the NWZ A72x/82x series to have superior sound quality to the S618F? I wouldn't really want to talk a step back in that respect.- Bigsy

What to upgrade to from NWZ-S618F
My Sony is on the blink, keeps losing volume in the left ear and I have to reset it to get it back..... so what do I upgrade to? I don't mind about space, in fact the only things I care about are: *Folder support (hate tag browsing). *Don't like bright sounding players. *Would prefer if...- Bigsy

Buying IE8s in the UK
It's a shame you just missed out of some from here: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/c...e8s-uk-400897/ Still keep your eye out on that page, its what I did and 5 pairs came into stock a few days ago. Other than that and the places you list I havent seen tham at a reasonable price with...- Bigsy

Thinking of upgrading from UE SF5p to SE530... opinions?
My IEM upgrades have gone from e2c, sf5p, tf10, e500, IE8. I still own them all bar the tf10 which I just didn't like the sound of. Sound wise it sounds like IE8 is right down your street, but I have real comfort and isolation problems with them, and this is coming from someone that didn't...- Bigsy

First impressions of the IE8
Got mine today and so far I much prefer them over my se530's, they remind me a portable version of my DT770Pro's. Only thing I don't like are the ergonomics, their just plain awkward compared to other iems imo. Finally managed to get them to seal by using some cored out black olives.- Bigsy

Cheap (in stock) Sennheiser IE8's in the UK
Well AMP3 just stuck their price up to £226 and they still don't have any stock. Conversely for anyone who doesn't have an irrational fear of microwarehouse/DSGi I ordered my pair late last night and they have been shipped today for next day delivery. I paid for 2-3 day delivery option...- Bigsy
