IEM customs reshell inearz vs inearcentral, my experience.

I wanted to give a quick review of my experience this far with inearcentral. I sent my inears and they received them Feb 20. I still haven't recieved my inears back. I was told at the most 11 weeks to receive them back. It's now been 18 weeks. I called them back in April and tried to get a refund. They told me they would rush my order and they'll be about 2 more weeks and that they'd throw in extra wire. I said ok and asked 2 weeks later and they still hadn't started. Waited 2 more weeks and asked for a refund. He said again he would rush them they would start that day and is receive them in 2 weeks. I said ok and waited 2 more weeks. Messaged back and he said the shells were done but waiting for electronics maybe 2 more weeks. I'm still waiting. I've been asking daily for Jacob to refund them and send them back as is and I'll send them to inearz. He said he can't. I asked to speak to them over the phone and he said they don't offer phone support. So who knows where my inears have gone. Beware of them!!

If you search for the Facebook page named Been Screwed by In Ear Central there are links there to file fraud charges with both the Florida Attorney General's office as well as the Post Office. It is considered Mail Fraud because he used the Post Office to deliver to you the impression kit. Please file both fraud complaints, the more who do the better the odds of getting action.

I wish this info was on the forum a few months back, I did do a search and could see nothing negative. They have a set of ue900 and I've paid for a few mods plus reshell at the end of april. Hmm guess theres nothing I can really do but wait it out.

I know I looked too and it seemed pretty good. Before they start on them demand a refund. He'll say things like I'll throw in a free case and free cable but don't fall for it. He sent a video 2 weeks back saying he's increasing pricing and he's very backed up. Try doing it before they say they've opened your inears

I noticed that in you earlier post that you sent him your IEMs but they later told you they were waiting on electronics before they could proceed. They already had your IEMs so what electronics could they have been waiting on? Just more double-speak from Rob and Jared.

Yea well he said they were ready to install into the already made shells. When I asked to send them back then he said they were already taken apart but not installed into the shells. I don't know why you would take apart my inears unless you were ready to immediately install them into the new shells

Last time I checked there were 9 ads on eBay for "custom in ear monitors" posted by InEarCentral, many that still claim a 6-8 week turn-around. That while there are dozens of (if not 100 or more) people clamoring for products they paid for 4, 5 even 6 months or more ago. This seems to mirror a Ponzi scheme wherein they use the money paid today to prop up the sales made long ago. One wonders how much longer Rob and Jared can do this before they fold the tent and people loose not only the money they paid but also the monitors sent in to have reshelled?

So I sent Jacob a link to this forum. I told him that I was going to request a refund. I later saw a picture of my um40 taken apart followed with a picture of my finished in ears posted on Facebook on Saturday. Coincidence? Anyway they will be arriving Wednesday but I'm ver skeptical about the craftsmanship. Now I'm worried about sending them back when I receive them and if they aren't to my liking. I don't think I'll return them if they need to be refit. I might just take the loss of money

Sucks that we just have to accept junk in order to be done with him.

Hi Everyone.  Ive just joined today.  I ordered some custom in ears from in ear central back in January 2015 and they still hadn't been shipped.

I was really angry and seemed to get very unsatisfactory replies from jacob.  I looked into different legal options as it was getting so frustrating.

I think they have read this forum and last week I received my molded in ears.  To be fair, they are quite good and fit well.  It has been over 6/12 though so speed is not their forte right now.

I dont know whether it is true about their staff problems or other aspects, but I would encourage you to email jacob and ask him for specifics if you are still awaiting your order.

Hi Everyone.  Ive just joined today.  I ordered some custom in ears from in ear central back in January 2015 and they still haven't been shipped.

Jacob from in ear central doesn't give me any updates.  They also have my monitors, plus I paid an extra $200 to have my ear moulds done by an audiologist.   This is not acceptable.

Im a medical doctor and spoke to one of my friends who is a lawyer and he suggested a lawsuit against in ear central.  Ive made some calls and Girard Gibbs LLP who specialise in class action and deceptive advertising cases, have agreed to take the case. It is completely unacceptable that robb and jacob would be able to hold money without providing the product.

If anyone has a story or feels misled by near central advertising please add it to this thread or drop me a message.

Ive had enough. Dr Joshua Martin
Welcome Dr Martin, wish your story was better. There is a Facebook page devoted to these people called Been Screwed By InEarCentral. At that page there are links to the United States Postal Service mail fraud department as well as a link the Pam Bondi's Florida Attorney General fraud department. Both links take you directly to the forms needed to file a claim. Unless you are hoping for punitive damages over and above getting your money back filing fraud charges is the easiest way to get the ball rolling. Additionally, class action suits generally only enrichen the attorney.

thanks for that reply geoff, you are right about the attorneys just making money.

I think the guys saw what I wrote on this forum as a few days later my headphones appeared.  They have asked me to write about my experience.  In summary, I received them and they are good quality, but it has been painfully slow. I can imagine there are many people who find this very frustrating.
