I've had the IE6s for a few weeks now and I'm astonished at the performance, and already sold on seeing what the IE8s can do. Both Play.com and Advancedmp3 (with senn discount code) have them listed at an excellent price, but both seem to have been out of stock all month. And if any have come in, they've clearly just gone to fill back orders.

Why is stock so limited in the UK for these new flagship models from a major manufacturer? Does anyone know anywhere else that has managed to maintain a decent stock of IE8s without charging full RRP?

Thanks Bigsy. I'll watch that thread.

Have checked thoroughly through the Google ads, and the cheapest in stock tend to be close to or above the £200 mark. Which is still a fairly decent reduction from RRP, but worth the wait if they can be had for <£170.

The IE8 now retails for £263 in the UK (NB: this is RRP, *not* street price).

There was a price increase about a week ago due to the exchange rate and falling £.

So if you want a set, it's best to order as soon as possible before new stocks arrive and dealers start putting the price up.
