    (Q) Sony MDR 7520 or Sony MDR Z1000 replacement cable? (coiled or straight)

Hi guys,   Sony tried to charge me £240!!! for the cable only!! And this is from 2 different companies. The 7520 costs around £400 here and it does not make sense that the cable is half of the cost, I will not accept that, it is CRAZY! They said that it is because the cable uses 'speclialist...

Sony MDR-7520 Possible Wide-Spread problem? Left earcup faint rattle/noise with low frequencies.

Hey guys, just a quick update.   I sent the headphones back to the retailer who immediately confirmed the fault and ordered a replacement from Sony.   When I bought the cans, they came with Sonys' prime support so I went through that and the whole process took around 7 days.   The...

Sony MDR-7520 Possible Wide-Spread problem? Left earcup faint rattle/noise with low frequencies.

Hi guys,   Unfortunately I am no closer to the resolution of this problem.   I did try a few other things and still cant get the left driver to not produce that buzzing sound.   Something inside the left driver is not functioning properly.   The driver is actually a whole, sealed...

Sony MDR-7520 Possible Wide-Spread problem? Left earcup faint rattle/noise with low frequencies.

Ok so i tried a few different things and im afraid I have no solution for this issue.   I removed the driver completely from the cup and the plastic cage and the rattle is still there. It sounds like there is some loose material stuck to the membrane thats causing it to sound like this.  ...

Hi guys,   Does anyone else have an issue with the Z1000/7520 where there is a buzzing/rattle/material vibration noise at low frequencies around 50hz-200hz?   It is happening on my 7520 in the left earcup.

Sony MDR-7520 Possible Wide-Spread problem? Left earcup faint rattle/noise with low frequencies.

Hi everyone,   So some time ago I got the Sony MDR-7520 and as everyone knows they are aimed towards professional applications, but not limited to mixing, tracking and in general applications where hearing details and balances between instruments is important in order to make informed...

    MDR-Z1000 new Sony flagship headphones

Hi a_recording, I have the same issue with my 7520 being that there is a slight buzzing noise present in the left earcup with certain low frequencies. I can only hear it when I play my keyboards through the headphones.   It is safe to say that once i started hearing this and isolated it...

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought

Hi Panda-sama :)   Thats not what i meant.   When you use the balance control on the E17 can you shift the sound to left or right completely?   Or is it just a slight shift towards left or right? (whereas you can still hear a bit of left/right signal in the other side)

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought

Hey guys, quick question.   When you change the balance on the E17, are you able to pan hard left/right?   On my unit its more of a slight shift. I am unable to use the controls to pan hard left/right.   Is this how its supposed to be?   Thanks

Hi guys, For a while i was very very happy with my Shure E5c, great iem and tough. Bought them from a fellow headfier two years ago and had absolutely no problems. Unitl a few weeks ago when a small dog in the bus that played in my lap had a bite on the cable and now the silver wiring is...

    AKG owners unite...

The K240s are sloppier than K271s. The bass extension on the K271s is much better, goes deeper. I like the K271s better because they give you more detail and they sound cleaner. The K240s are very 'fun' like to listen to..when you're not paying attention to details and you just want to...

    k701/650/595 for mixing/monitoring

bodger Have you looked into AKG K-271s? They have a very 'flat' response with bass going as low as 20hz. That might be an option for you because your monitors dont go very low. I have the k271s and i use them for mixing, tracking and general music listening. I originaly bought the k240s...
