I'm going to pick up the Oppo980, as I understand it's a pretty decent source...but I figured I need a good DAC. I was looking at the Music Fidelity V-DAC, for $300. Is it worth it? Is there anything for $200 or so that would be fine?

Alright, I love my HD580s. So the question is how much better are the 650s? I have an iRiver IMP-400 PCDP and an SR-71. Not a "serious" source, I know. But either way, are the 650s in a different league or is it "just a little more open, a little more extended, but nothing worth 300+ bux."

I have the Panasonic F87 DVD player that plays HDCD. My receiver does not. So, am I sending the HDCD content when using the COAX digital out, or only if I use the analog outs?? Anyone have any ideas on this?
