I LOVE my 1540s with my M11 Pro and a balanced cable. Every time I put them on it's a super enjoyable experience, both listening and comfort-wise.

Ha, wow, seeing this post of mine some 13 years later is funny. I had nothing to worry about and ended up loving the Mk III, still have it and use it all the time. Love it with my Rega Planar 3 and HD600.

I’m not concerned with whatever Apple is “pushing.” I look for what I want and it’s there.

I’ll never go back to Tidal. Apple Music has been better for me in every possible way, and I don’t even have to pay anything extra for it.

I find Tidal is labelling a lot of stuff MQA that isn’t high res and sounds worse than even just CD quality (Van Halen OU812, for example).

Amazon is always missing artists/albums I’m looking for. Every other time I search for an album, they don’t have it. Tidal has always had everything I’ve searched.
