Ipod classic - rockbox - its happening.
I'm running the latest build that user890104 posted. Everything works smoothly and battery life has increased from the stock build on freemyipod. However, I cannot get shortcuts to work. Rundown on shortcuts...- Aleatoris

now cant decide tv or pc monitor
The line that was once drawn between computer monitors and TVs no long exists. Just make sure that whatever you buy has the right connectors for whatever you need hooked up to it. Do some spec crunching, and don't forget to consider plasmas! They have better color and bigger viewing angles...- Aleatoris

Crackling noise with itunes
don't use iTunes? If you like its interface, there are a wide selection of alternatives that look and act similarly. I would give something like Songbird a try. I think it even plays nice with iPods, but I wouldn't know first hand. Other (not so "iTune-y") alternatives include foobar2000...- Aleatoris

Windows 7 - Upgrade or Clean Install?
Windows has not been built on DOS since WinME. To my knowledge, the new NT (XP, Vista, 7) line only has a (crap ass) DOS emulator for old apps. And it is all ground-up work (no pun intended). The NTFS file system is brand spanking new, and incompatible with DOS. I'm no Microsoft fanboy...- Aleatoris

Buying a pair of headphones
I bought my ATH AD900s from Audiocubes, and they were at my door in a week or so. I also live in Canada. Amazon.com will not ship Audio Technica goods across the border, so tough luck there. The cans from audiocubes set me back 325CAD, and would be over your budget. Thing is, all electronic...- Aleatoris

Zombie Defense-Fi
Chainsaws need gas and there are too many moving parts to service. You'd want something nice and solid that is also able to keep an edge. Like a machete or katana. Or you could go with heavy and blunt, like a sledge hammer.- Aleatoris
