the mad dogs are a bit open. They won't isolate like a decent closed headphone but they should be fine.

The worst I've bought and tried, were the Digital Designs DXB -03. Terribly far away mids. Descent bass though. Never gave em time to break in though. Maybe after some time they'll get better.

I don't really mind that they are a bit open.
If I can listen to music on a regular volume (and I'm not a loud listener), without disturbing anyone, and without me hearing everything around me like with my HE-300, then it's fine for me!
By the way, in the time I tried them, I found them to isolate better than the beats pro detox I currently own.

They should isolate much better than the HE-300. I love my HE-300, so tell me how you like the Mad Dogs when you get em!

I already tried them, and A/B'd them with the HE-300.
I think I might dislike my HE-300 and never use it again when I have the Mad Dogs.. They're really good, I liked them better than any Sennheiser (HD598, 600, 650, 700, 800) but that's probably because Sennheiser isn't my sound signature. I prefer a slight V-shape
 
The Mad Dogs may also still take a while, I got this guy saving up for my beats pro detox, and well, he doesn't have any work for income. I hope he gets some money from his parents or anything
