USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Just got DC04 pro, my first impression is the lovely black background with sensitive IEMs on both 3.5 and 4.4 plugs, I have a question: does the DC04 pro store its configuration by itself? I use it mainly with my Windows Laptop and I have an old Android Phone that can configure it, thanks!
AFAIK it doesnt

Just tested it, and it seems that is correct ... Btw, I hear hiss with the NOS filter, does anyone face that?
I don't as none of my iems are that sensitive

NOS doesn't do upsampling I don't think it's a filter but more of a filterless mode.
AFAIK, NOS is another filter since with D/S DAC, it does not have the true NOS

These filters are not doing any kind of upsampling or resampling.
They alter impulse response.
The NOS is still a very simple curve.

Nothing to do with hiss.

Hmm, I have tried all 5 filters by setting them via the UAC app on my GG Pixel 4XL, only NOS produces hiss ... Is my device flaw?

Well, I don't know but this should not be happening. I am constantly using the NOS filter and I don't get any hiss.
Strange.
Which IEMs are you using? I am using A12t, NOS produces some slight hiss, not much but it is audible

Various but the truth is that they are not uber sensitive so something might be happening that I can't hear.
Thanks for the response, anw, I am just curious, it does not bother me since I do not use the device on Android phones. Btw, the DC04 pro impressed me more than I expected, especially for the sale price $90 in my country
