love the TF10p... great details and separation, punchy and tight bass, good vocals though *slightly* laid-back IMO (but I can live with it, since I mainly listen to instrumentals anyway), and I can comfortably wear 'em for extended periods.

really worth spending the $$$

Hi guys, a quick question here. Are the TF10Vi's identical to the TF10Pro's, with the exception of the mic? They both use the same drivers, right?

Sorry I don't really have much time to search over the forums or internet about this. The reason I'm asking is that I'm planning to get a TF10 to replace my broken SF5p. I can get the TF10vi for US$260 brand new, but the people selling them don't stock the TF10pro. If the vi and pro are the same, then I will order the vi tomorrow.

Just ordered my set. Upgrading from super.fi 5 pro's. Looking forward to joining the club.

I'm in a similar situation - I'm thinking of upgrading my sf5 pro. There are 2 options to go: se 530 for £200 or Triple.fi 10 pro for £149. £50 is quite a difference and I'm used to wearing sf5 pro's - are the Triple.fi a worthy upgrade or should I go for se 530? I'm using iPod Touch 2G and Creative Zen.. How do you like triple.fi's compared to sf5 pro?

The TF 10 Pros will be a real nice upgrade over the SF5 Pro. No doubt about it.

In my opinion, if the fit of the super.fi's suits you, go with the Triple.fi no question. I prefer the clear, analytical sound signature of the triple.fi over the shure se530's. After using the shures for a year+, I decided to try the triples (when I had to send the shures back due to the cable cracking issue). I was so impressed with the sound, but the fit really didn't work for me. (Never did actually try the flip mod OR the comply tips... which are supposed to help significantly.)

I ended up just going for the UE11.

But if the UE universal fit worked for me, I definitely would go for the Triples (over the Shures). Here's my comparison:

Shure E500 vs UE Triple.fi 10 Pro - Threadbox.net

Good luck!

£149 is an excellent price for the triples, gotta say! My guess would have to be an ebayer at that figure.

That is a shockingly good price! You may wana see if Advancedmp3players.co.uk will beat it (as they offer a 7-day opened-box returns policy so you could try em and see if you like em then).

I wouldn't bet on that, they're selling it for £40 more - they'd simply buy all stock off play.com (if you remember what game.com did when sainsburys slashed xbox prices). I think I'm going to buy it straightaway, it sounds like a decent upgrade. If I don't like them I'll sell them for £130 anywhere. £20 worth of gamble, don't you think? But back to my original question - are they a worthy upgrade on sf 5 pro (all my music is directly ripped to 320kbps cbr)?
