"I would go to the various ciem websites like UE, JH Audio, etc and take a look at their recommended audiologists" The first one I called was from UE. Shocked me. I've read on these sites 30-70, and I agree that $75 sounds reasonable. Mostly, they are trying to sell me hearing aides.

I found a local Audiologist who only does hearing aid stuff, and he's charged me $35 and $25 to have my impressions made.. I would shop around a bit more..

I've started calling audiologists in Southern Cal and the quotes I'm getting for impressions are running $100-150.  That seems high, especially from what I've been reading on this site.  Anyone care to comment?  Or suggest someone near Los Angeles/Santa Barbara area?

Well I bought one, I'll report in once it arrives as I just bought another pair (my 3rd) pair of TF10 tonight. The cable however most likely won't be here until after Christmas. Good old TF10, we meet again....

Dark Lord cable by Sunricky. Readily available on e-bay. Very good.
