I had the tf10vi for ~1 year. the cable got replaced 4 times (pretty much every 3 months). Now I am looking for a better cable. 
can someone give recommendation on cable replacement for tf10? I prefer to have built-in mic control.

I must be of the lucky few.  Of the two pairs I had, my cables never ever gave me problems.
 
Also, I hated the Shure SE530s.
 
Most rolled off, mid-heavy, bloated bass 'high-end' thing I had ever heard.I even prefer my Monster Turbines now to them, then.

Well I suppose I'm lucky too. Never broken or damaged a cable on any of my cans much less the TF10.

Despite this fact, I recently bought a hybrid upgrade cable to see if there is any improvement in SQ. sorry wallet!

My first VI cable lasted about two years which I can't complain about at all.  I bought two more which hopefully will outlast my TF10s.

wow，my first hifi eraphone in my life. even though i have owned jh13 and ie800，i still cannot forget the sound of tf10 which shock me firstly.

I love the TF10 sound too much but the fit leaves much to be desired.. I even tried switching to the GR07 MKII but those are now sitting in my drawer. 
 
That Shure 535 casing mod seems like the best thing ever but I don't have the balls to cut up my tf10

Go for a re-shell, you will be glad you did.

+1 reshelled TF10 is the best thing I ever did, I got rid of my JH16, but I still have my TF10..
