I knew that.

Come on man, the guy's paid 400 bucks for his tf10s. Try to put yourself in his shoes, i'd bet you'd be pretty pissed if that happened to you.
And couple that with the fact that the tip shouldn't even come off in the first place, Imo it's only right they give him some sort of compensation. Also, I don't get why logitech doesn't allow him to use the 50% off on any UE earphones

I think four years is a pretty decent innings for any pair of IEM. Logitech are actually doing him a favour offering what they have imo. You can't just contact a company after four years asking for a replacement pair. Fair enough they should do repairs on TF10, but because they don't doesn't mean he's owed anything. That's like contacting a clothing company because the stitching has worn out on a pair of undies. You don't ring them up and ask for them to sew them again, and if they can't you "just want a new pair" Four years, they are out of warranty. It's asking a bit much and I'm surprised Logitech went as far as their offering of 50% another product.

I do however agree it's a bum call the 50% not covering earphones. I think that's Logitechs way of poking back at someone who wants something replaced after so long.

That is true, a mistake on my part as i think i read it as 3 years on my iphone.  Most Universal IEMs cant be repaired at all and can only be replaced. Wanting a new pair, I agree, is definitely too much. Then again, perhaps the problem is that the tf10 has dropped in price so much. If it was still 300+ usd now, i think the CS treatment would be a little different on a similar situation

Anyway, i just saw the thread he just created about the Logitech CS, and that's also a little too far

My mistake, it is three years. (not four)

Anyway, I have contacted the member in question, if he's quick enough there's something on the FS section he maybe interested in. Either that or sell his for the drivers on ebay, they fetch a decent amount. Put that money towards a new pair.

Or he could go for a reshell

Been LOVING my TF10 for a few days now, and I think my SM3s have found their mate: I am positively DRUNK on the SM3s after a few days with only TF10s. The TF10s still sound great but they seem to have a lot of similar qualities with just enough difference in presentation and tonal balance to be an awesome compliment to the SM3.

I am about to get the Fiio RC cable from B&H. Does anyone recommend any other cables. Not looking to spend more than 50.

If you're planning to use it on the go, I'd advise against it. Especially if you're wearing spectacles. The cable is well built, yes, but at the same time too big and bulky. Of course that's my preference. On usability on the go, i'd rate the stock a 5/10, and the RC UE a 2/10 with something like an epic cable or a custom cable 8/10

What gets 10/10?

I loved the earlier audio technica's wires and they're my 10/10. Soft, flexible and at the same time thick enough to feel durable. I've ordered a UE custom cable for my reshell, and maybe its, as average_joe said, better than the normal stock cables

Note: I just managed to get my hands onto my friend's UM1 corsa, and the wire seems braided more tightly before the Y split. Maybe that could get my 10/10. If only i could get my hands on my old CKS70
