The plastic cups look kind of cool, where did you get them?

And hopefully this new found popularity will ease...
For his sake, I hope it doesn't
Just for anyone wanting to know what's going on here.
I am testing out various pad options, some of which isolate less and some that isolate even more, so yes, that is an option now. Seth has been a huge help in this new evolutionary step. I have a list of things on order to test out to make them lighter, isolate more or less when required and help with comfort. I'm also experimenting with oval cups which cut down more weight and take up less space. What I really want to do is have some custom headbands made to my spec but have no idea where to go for that. I might have to contact Alex at Audeze to see if he can point me in the right direction. Anyway, the general gist is that I'm still spending a good amount of time experimenting.
I have used Denon pads in the past, Ideally I'd like to use something both good and inexpensive to keep the costs down. It's looking pretty good so far, though I still need to try some other pads to find the ideal match.
After further conversation with Smeggy we decided to refit my pair with the LCD-2 (Rev 2) pads instead of the Beyerdynamic leather pads. I know folks are interested to see how these look so I am posting a couple of pictures. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a retrofit and may not represent current production! This refit was done as something of a prototype exercise for the new pads, which I know a number of people have ordered in the group purchase, and I am extremely pleased with the results
