I'd use speaker caulk or blu tak on the baffle and dynamat on the back of the cups.

Thanks. Consequently I stumbled on faust3d's wiki site with illustration (sorry I'm really new to orthos - but am glad I found it after searching for the ''king of mids" headphones):

Since this is the TP (or T50 mods?) thread, I think this will be helpful if updated on the OP, Br777 please? :) unless this is exclusive to TPs.

Thanks for the tips smeggy and sachu!

Well, If Br777 doesn't mind maybe we'll just keep this as our thread for modding the T50rp. I think I'm going to get my wood tomorrow or friday, so I'll be sure to post pics.

I think I said I'm planning on building these earlier in the thread. Planning since Smeggy first posted the dimensions actually. Won't be able to make them until winter break though.

I think the Leakypants deserve an honorable mention. I want to make a pair of those too.

I always figured 1- 1 1/2 inch because they look to be about the thickness of an O2 pad.

Yup, about 1 inch give or take. You can always buy the thicker one and saw them in half anyways. something that leaves a margin say 2 inches would be nice too I think, because you'll be able to cut out strips for the mounting brackets as well.

The thickness depends on if you're going to be using a lathe. If you're using a lathe then you need to make sure you have enough thickness so you can turn a tenon and mount it in a jaw chuck. If you have no idea what I'm saying then your probably not using a lathe.

For the lathe users, i'd recommend buying a blank of 3'' in thickness and above so you have room to work with. Also, I'm fairly sure you'll need a 4 jaw chuck so if you don't have one you'd better get one.
