I am still collecting my thoughts.

I’m not sure it’s a clear winner over the CCA-CRA. There seems to be something in the treble. I will report back in a few days when I have listened more.

Has anyone tried the new Noble KUBLAI KHAN? They have an interesting driver configuration with 4 different drivers, bone sub bass, DD bass, BA mids, Piezo highs. And they’re not even outrageous at $2,600.

BC driver is the same one used in EE EVO and UM MEXT.

Samples time. Unlike you guys I got just the one cable. Not sure what I'll be comparing it to, so they'll just have to live with impressions of the cable on its own. Also the only two pin IEM I currently have is the BL-03, so that's my yardstick. What happened to ConX? 😅🤔
I can let you know that BL-03 plus prototype 38 is quite a musical and enjoyable experience 👍

The EVO states full range bone conductor driver while Noble states for sub bass and bass only, so not sure they’re the same driver, EE also states 10.9mm while Noble states 10mm.
Then, similar drivers. EE probably updated their spec recently since 10.9mm driver size wasn't mentioned before. So, similar BC drivers with a focus on low end and mids, the way EE had it in EVO, and then UM followed up with MEXT, and now Noble implemented in KK.

Really? UM made such a fuss about EE using a BC driver on the EVO and they’re both sourced from the same maker?

Oh, I just got the non +, didn't realise there's an updated version!

Yeah. It just came out. 2-3x the price.

I think I am finding a peak at 2-3KHz or so bothersome, but only on poor recordings.

There seems to be more transparency. The bass is more snappy and can reproduce the crack of a drum so well. Again this super light driver again wow-ing me.

I got my reterminated cable back from VE-- they put a Pentaconn on it :D. I still prefer the Tyrian though. I'll try an a/b with the sound at some point.

Regarding the price:

The price points of the the 3 products recently launched are in line with their counterparts.

The Jade is priced a little lower than the Tux 5, the Kadence is priced in the same zone as my previous 8 driver and the Kublai Khan is essentially the same price as the Ghengis Khan. We didn't want to make products obsolete, the goal was to have a wider selection of products within the same general price points.

Looking at UM the only bone driver that’s the same size, also full range and double sided like the EE is the UM FS. The mext, Mest both use smaller bone conductors with different materials. EE and UM FS bone conductor are both dual sided 5-20htz with piezoelectric ceramic vibration plates and ceramic coated electrostatic plates. Unfortunately beside size Noble doesn’t include it’s specs for the bone conductor.
