What genres do you listen to? Any genres where Indigo might be better suited than traillii or jewel?
I listen mostly to metal, rock, and jazz. I suspect the Indigo could excel at electronic music because it can sound less natural/organic sometimes, e.g. in the treble, but I think it performs well across most genres. The bass is awesome on this set. I’ll need to do a direct comparison but I don’t expect it to outperform Traillii for my preferences, for any genre.

Honestly I don't really consider myself to be much of a fan of electronic music. Not that I didn't enjoy going to club listening to some Trance or House music. But while messing about with my new Roon installation I've just rediscovered the OST of the game Electronic Super Joy and it just gives me that energy that I'd love to share.

iBasso DX170 :)
Is DX170 good in SQ? I am considering a replacement for my DX160, and the candidates are DX170, Hiby RS2 (small R2R pure music player), secondhand SR25 Mk2, or secondhand WM1A.

I guess good is a relative term. Listening now with FiR XE6 and it sounds great! For $450 I’m very happy with the SQ. Will need to go through more IEMs to really determine the sort of signature it has. For a 160 successor I’m really happy with it.

Is there a standard show discount at Canjam? If not standard what sorts of discounts are usually there?

Enjoying the new SoftEars Twilight with the Sony 1ZM2 on a Sunday morning. Another very well tuned single DD IEM from SoftEars. The star is the great mids: nuanced, emotive, good depth and separation. I am not sure if they will be showcasing at any of the shows yet, but definitely worth a listen. :)

Indeed. Give it a listen if you have a chance to. Like the Turii, I think it has excellent price/performance ratio. SoftEars seem to be really good with their tuning of single DD IEMS.

Oh I remember those days well. My first portable rig in high school was a Sony Walkman, and my main source of music was my dad's LPs ripped off a Technics turntable to an Akai tape deck.

It was quite a revelation when I heard my first CDs and realised the music sounded so much better without the hiss and pops.
I remember my first taste of stereo music was when my Dad came back one day with a cassette player that came with an on the ear headphone. What I heard for the first time was mind blowing. That was over 40 years ago. I did not have the same experience till I heard Indigo just a few weeks ago. As much as I love a two channel system, there’s nothing quite like the intimacy of an iem/headphone to move the soul, for me at least.
