I seriously have never been this impressed with the SQ of a DAP for under $500 USD. I really wished they fixed the Bluetooth though because this more than satisfies my taste. Solaris and this neat little DAP is the perfect pairing for me.

Does anyone remember 8-tracks? The cartage was the size of a book so limited selection inside the car rest were inside a suitcase in the trunk. :L3000::L3000::ksc75smile:
Yes, I had an 8-track table portable player that I took with me on my paper route that I had from 13-15 years old.

I guess good is a relative term. Listening now with FiR XE6 and it sounds great! For $450 I’m very happy with the SQ. Will need to go through more IEMs to really determine the sort of signature it has. For a 160 successor I’m really happy with it.
I loved the sound quality of the DX160. I expect the same from the DX170. Really nice small and light form factor.

I listen mostly to metal, rock, and jazz. I suspect the Indigo could excel at electronic music because it can sound less natural/organic sometimes, e.g. in the treble, but I think it performs well across most genres. The bass is awesome on this set. I’ll need to do a direct comparison but I don’t expect it to outperform Traillii for my preferences, for any genre.
So indigo might excel in hip hop rnb over Traillii and Jewel? 🤔

I've been pairing it witb the legendary ex800st with Legend x cable. Pure bliss!

Slam is otherworldly. Can compete with lx, but haven't really a/b.

Really surprised, most of the single dynamics or iem like 7h timeless sound nice and coherent but lacked stage height and width imho. Ex800st isn't lacking.

Pairs great with n3pro in tube mode.

7hz timeless stage was lacking imho not legend x.

You can get ex800st on Amazon right now for around $240.

I bought it because it was near zero loss because of prime 30 day return policy. Also it was recently featured as top 5 iem for basshead with tape mod.

Wasn't expecting much, but it delivers way above its price point. Imho, this would go for at least $1500 in today's market.

Hey watercooler TZ700 fans!

I had a chance to listen to these wonderful single DD iems with my Questyle M15 via balanced on my K Bear rhyme and my oh my what a lovely experience!!

Everything increased in spades!! Dynamics! Resolution! Separation! Layering! Imaging! and Stage! Woweee! Such a remarkable set! All I can say Is that these are a keeper and I could be perfectly content with what I have BUT we all know there is no ENDGAME. More to come in the coming weeks.

If @drftr was still around I think these would be his cup of tea! Miss that guy! Where are you?!!!

Tube mode with ultra linear sounds out of this world with Solaris. I was not expecting that degree of airiness and dynamics. I've had the M11 Plus ESS for about 4 months and I thought that sounded pretty good but then I went to try it out with the CFA Pathfinder and the upper mids and lower treble with M11 was coming in way too hot for me. I then tried it out with the N3Pro and the warmth was a fantastic balance. I liked it so much, I didn't even think twice and walked out the store with it because it just blew my socks off lol.
