The Fibae 7U are on the top of my very short list. Already playing with the design tool from Custom Art. Have a difficult time justifying this purchase, though.
I have all 3 Eletech interconnects - Socrates, Plato and Illiad - and pair them with corresponding IEM cable, eg Socrates IC > Socrates IEM; Socrates or Plato IC > P8 Plato x Socrates; Illiad IC > with any.
Plato is closest to neutral followed by Illiad, Socrates slightly warm and now I hear, all are musical but neither 3 are bright.
TBH most of the time I can’t discern much difference between the 3 Eletech ICs compared to their respective IEM cables except Socrates.
Single-DD's are too broad a category to say one is THE BEST. (and also our preferences, yada yada) The technical limitations of the driver force designers to tune it one way or another. There are a ton of tuning variances. Many reasons to have more than one single DD
The ie900 may be the best V-shaped single-DD out there, but it won't touch the best midrange focused flagship single-DD's. That's their strong-suit.
The Zen Pro is a top performer in it's price category, but it doesn't compete with Turii at $1300 or Eden at $2100. It just isn't as technical, refined, or nuanced. Zen Pro is not TOTL for me, but its a good monitor and a great deal for a taste of what a totl single-dd can be like.
It sounds like that JVC FW10k may be closer to what I expect a TOTL single-DD to sound like. Maybe @Rockwell75 can comment on what he hears as the defining differences between ZP and it?
