What about the FA 011? It's pretty fancy looking and it has wood cups. To me it looks AKG'ish

I never liked the original one. I thought the color was really ugly, but the phones were pretty nice looking. The new natural wood color looks much better, but everything I've heard about the sound, combined with the styling of it, says it should be a much darker color to me.

I could easily see people finding the Abyss or HE-1000 ugly. Stax Lambdas too
 
Edit: whoops, didn't notice this thread was dead. Saw it pop up in recommended and checked it out
