Yes, the mm185's are generally considered worse than the v1's

Actually, the Pro80's and the HP2011 has totally different sound signatures and so are the Hl2050 and HF2010. But, you're going to enjoy the HF2010, they are indeed very good!
1clearhead I was wondering if you, (or anyone else) could directly compare the HF2010 and HD9999, particularly in terms of soundstage, clarity, and bass. I have the HF2010 right now and like them a lot but was looking for a closed-back pair that's a little more neutral, detailed, and spacious. Also do you think they'd pair well with a tube amp? I'm using the HF2010 with a Little Dot 1+ and the pairing is great but not massively different from just the line out. Thanks
Comparing the HF2010 and HD9999:
The HF2010 is warmer than the HD9999. Soundstage is similar in width, but signature is different. The soundstage on the HF2010 sounds ambient and detailed, while the HD9999 sounds transparent and crisp. I feel like both have the same amount of bass quantity, but the HD9999 has slightly better texture. Finally, the HD9999 plays very well out of tube amps!
Another option would be the closed version, the ISK HP2011. They are not as good looking (in black) as its counter part from the family company, the Takstar Pro 80's, but it combines the neutral, details, and spacious quality you're looking for. Very easy to listen to for many hours at a time!
Here are some feedbacks from Aliexpress on the HP2011:

Very satisfied, Thanks. The headphones is great sounding, it is neutral across the frequency range and it has transparent and detailed reproduction comparable to Crea Aurv Live! Although it doesn't have a lot of bass (because of its flat and transparent response) so this is not for bass heads out there. The mid end is about the same as CAL!, and the high end is brighter with easier to hear details than CAL! Overall for the price this is a very good headphones for monitoring purpose.

Glad to help!
Good luck on your choices!
Would you say the HP2011 is a significant upgrade over the pro80?
In looks? it won't be an upgrade, but for monitoring, I personally prefer the HP2011. But, that's not to say that the Pro 80's aren't good, they are stellar headphones, as well.
Ah right. Wondering if there's a significant upgrade for hi-fi purposes in either the HP2011 or HP9999 or that it's just a minor improvement
How much are the ISK HD9999 an improvement over the Takstar Pro 80's in terms of soundstage etc.
HD9999's soundstage is wider, more realistic, and provides better headstage while providing better details across all frequency as well. -Just my personal opinion when comparing both.
Hi
I've never owned full size cans. I was always fan of in-ears. But its time to make a start. I like balanced sound. My in-ear collection is ATH-CK7, DENON C700, TDK BA200.
Between the ISK HP 2011 and the Superlux HD662 EVO + mod which would you say is better?
They both have similar price, one from aliexpress, the other from gearbest.
Thanks!
Wow! The last time I slapped on some HD662 EVO was more than three years ago. So, I really can't say the difference in details. But, I know for a fact that the HD662 EVO's are good as well. I can only speak for the HP2011 having a great balance towards a neutral sounding signature, since I currently own these.
Judging only from the FR graphs i would have to say that the isk hp 2011 has more linear response than the 662 evo + mod. evo has some downward spikes at 4khz which is noticeable from what i am reading.
but i also asked for your personal viewpoint.
according to the FR graph that is provided outside of the box it seems that the tremble is a tad higher that the bass region. is it a bit forward to the mid and high region? do you notice the bass or is it very light? i am not talking about bassheads here. only to understand if the bass is punchy enough to make a difference.
for example can you try some EDM and tell me how does it feel? its difficult to find a balance between overwhelming bass and very light bass
