If Somic MM185 only difers on color asthetics to the Somic V1, cannot really recommend it.
Almost decent bass (neither punchy), treble with average extension, but major default is the untruthly/unfidelity mids. Vocals and most instruments aren't natural, have a kind of radiofonic timbre.
Soundstage is good for a "closed" headphones, but they are not really closed because the earpads are uneven and you can put a hole finger at the bottom untill the center of the ears. Also the earpads are a little small, the exterior of the ears touch their interior. Good clamp and lightweight.
Unfortunetly the global signature is a bit artificial, because of those metalic mids.
If 30-35 USD even so (not for me), but no more than that. I have a pair, will try to sell them.
