Nope, they belong to the same family with Bosshifi, Sivga etc chinese brands. They are around $90 on Aliexpress.

Used Solo 2 cost like $40. For that price theyre pretty good if bassy sound signature suits you . I would not pay more than that and for The original $199 msrp theyre a joke.

I don't remember the exact sound signature and my impressions, cause the last time I had the chance to listen to the HD661 was a couple of years ago, but, from what I do recall, is that I had nothing bad to say about it.

It is written on the Superlux website that HD661 were tuned to replicate the sound signature of Sony MDR-7506, which is intended to be used as a studio monitoring headphone.

Yes. I own a pair. Not worth the purchase. I did mod my pair, which made them listenable, but otherwise, mid bass is way too prominent, which makes the rest of the sound muffled and conjested. The soundstage is extremely small and it has a poor instrument separation. Better to stay away, unless you're looking for something to experiment with.
