Anyone got a picture of the drivers inside Takstar HD6000 ??
Even a picture of the cup without the pads would help.

Thanks a lot.

I have a pair F.S. here...just checked pix but none of them would help you.

Kinda surprised to see anyone mention this headphone. It's been quite awhile.

haha, im in the process of buying an unknown driver. I think it might be from those headphones, iv'e gone through many many models already. I just cant find a pic of that specific headphone even though the specs kinda match the one of the unknown driver.

Even if you know how many screws seal the cup it would help :)

Hey everyone, most of you wont know or remember me, I used to come post here ages ago. long story short and half a decade later, here I am again for a bit.

I recently repaired my Takstar Pro 80's, bought some valour pads, thick cable, some heavy duty 3.5mm jack I had laying around, then I had to change the cable that goes from driver L to drier R between the headbands, all and all really happy still with it and hope it will last another good part of a deccade or more seeing takstar doesn't make them anymore, (but seems other brands are out there using the same formula and ingredients).

I have been mostly used some MEE electronics Sports Fi S6P earphones for the longest time, their quality has dropped a lot, then I discovered a few months ago some Fonge Earphones S760 I think, much better design, durability, and sound signature is better to my liking and all for a few bucks vs the Mee electronics stuff, (bought one of their bluetooth headsets that wont work right).so seems the cheap asian sound technologies' have come a long way since I last came across them. Which s a great thing for folks like us who enjoy this thread. :)

See I was gonna ask, what would be a good addon to my Pro 80's?
I am thinking something semi open or something?
Also got a set of AKG 450's here I want to do stuff with, although unsure where to start, like cant even find the right twist on jack. lo if i knew what they are called.

Was also looking at the Akai M50X's on amazon (currently on sale but I cant pay with paypal else would had grabbed one), Just for the sake of modding one (saw some sweet stuff done to them on a post here)

I manage my Isk hf2010 to sound almost everything, from its stock v-shape sound with recessed mids (which I didnt like), to bass heavy, to laid back, to cold, warm sounding, mid-centric,treble cans, and then Ive finally settled after modding it to neutral. Along the way I almost damaged the drivers bcoz of the modding I became addicted, but I say its worth the time tinkering it coz the end results are very good. Its one of the most versatile headphones Ive modded.

Note: Ive tuned it based on my angled pleather pads, so I dont know how ill it sound on the stock velour one.

can you briefly specify how you managed to achieve each of these sound sigs?

the hole opening is the key thing to change everything, the difference between takstars hi2050 and isk hf2010 is their dampenings, the 2050 uses more while isk lacks dampening, if u could manage to cover the cups to almost closed, it could turn out neutral, I covered mine using some strechable leatherette punched a super tiny hole and added more dampeners. the result is more than I expected and its not only the sound sig that changed, its totally everything.

maybe later I could post some pics for you to see.

awesome stuff, any suggestions if there are any other headphones I should to add to my 'arsenal' not really a collection but you know to switch up sometimes. I was thinking of getting the Akai Professional Project M50X and modding them to semi open. I only got a Takstar Pro 80 which is the ISK HF 2011 I guess and also goes by a few other name brands (910?) Another one is the AKG 450's.

Speaking of which anybody know what this akg twist connector is (left) called and where to get it?

@Birdman74 Ive recently posted how I modded my Isk hf2010 in this thread https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chi...-ear-headphones.822184/page-246#post-14229994

i dont know whats that connector you posted tho. sorry

Thats good stuff larry. I gotta post my Pro 80 on here one day. speaking of which I kinda ruined both my gourmets, the ones that sit in the rubber hole (the wire that runs from left to right between the headband and goes into the drivers). Know where I could get 2 spares?

I found this eq app Sonarworks True-Fi it has added a profile for hyperx cloud 2(aka same in sound as takstar pro 80 with the mesh inside)if you have the new takstar pro 80 without mesh and foward midrange it may not sound same,i liked how much it improved vocals, and added quiet a bit of energy that was missing on 4khz it still missing alot you can test the 4khz dip here szynalski.com/tone-generator/ ,first time i like pro 80 in vocals.
