How did you get them to fit? I have the HE-300's and some left over HM5 pleather pads and I got them to fit but it doesn't relax the oval shape and looks like its gonna rip @ some point.

I stretched the pads a bit first. It doesn't help that they're not all exactky the same size so I found the biggest ones in my arsenal of 3 pairs for the HE500

Lol, I've got a pair on one of my T50RP's and it's safe to say that it took a fair deal of stretching before they came on the first time :)

Wonderful pads though, I use them on four different headphones at the moment.

Yes they're awesome. I don't know how it happened but I've now got 6 pairs of HM5 pads lol

Lol, I know the feeling. I've got four pairs of velours, one pleather with memory foam and two of the original ones :)

  hi folks
got a sweet deal on a takstar hi2050
they're made well and sound pretty good
my problem is on some hard rock kinda stuff
they're way sibilant
any mods that can improve this?

How much money you looking to spend?  The hi2050 are a modding gold mine. You can remove or add padding to the inside to change the sound. Since they are 53mm drivers you could completely change out the drivers and get new drivers that would suit ur style @ a reasonable price. Brainwavz makes comfortable and sound improving pads that fit the 2050 perfectly.

For  50-60 you could do a lot. It all depends on the sound you want. Audio technica ad700 drivers go for $15 a pair i think. The 900's I've never ordered but I can assume they'd be around 20-30 per pair. A new set of pads of either velour or pleather cost $20. They are some of the most comfortable pads you can buy.

This is what they look like. Me and my friend casper modded almost every aspect of the 2050's. There is a pair of $100+ drivers in them.
