UPD: Oh, I've got a question - does somebody know where to get "compatible" and cool-looking headband cushion for paradox vader - it's strange but it clamps much more on the top of my head than my basic paradox and I hate the way suspension looks - ruins the beautiful look of Vader.

If any of you find one...let me know. Those suspension bands are getting harder to find for me. I feel I'm going to have to find a new solution soon as they really are getting difficult to source for a decent price.

You have to stretch it really hard to fit over the headband but it does fit. I find it very comfortable.

Thanks! I've seen this headband - comfortable one, but those snap locks... ( The one from Beyer Custom One Pro - https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEY-C1HB-BLACK looks super sexy to my taste, but I'm not sure it will fit ( And the price...

I spent quite awhile custom making headphone cushions and straps, and found my suspension strap to be the best option.  The ones with the snaps aren't nearly as comfortable.

this is the first time i am seeing the hanger head bands..
 
as hi end headfones gets heavier n heavier, 
there should be a relook at how the cups are held up/down...
maybe supported from the shoulders,
with a screwclasp to adjust the clamp on the head..lol

The snapping buttons are smaller and hidden. It's fairly extensible so it might be possible to add a layer of foam / cushioning beforehand and wrapping the wool headband around it.
 
I'm loving two on my Grados right now, no burning spots at all with the heavy HP 1000.

This doesn't look good to me - it looks like my grandma sewed this for me ^_^
 
So far Sennheiser foam headband pad looks like the best option for me - http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/sennheiser-hd650-replacement-foam-headband-pad.html  or http://www.custom-cable.co.uk/sennheiser-foam-headband-pad-for-hd600-hd580.html - it looks OK and I suppose will do the job well.

That's precisely what I find charming about it, but it sure is helped by the fact that mines are put on Grado cans (a different set of aesthetic principles to match)

I never tried the Sennheiser strap, but I did make a snap-on headband cover using velour and soft upholstery foam.  It was more comfortable than the bare headband but not nearly as comfortable as the suspension strap, and significantly reduced the clamping force (since you had to extend the cups down further, and it effectively pushed out on the headphones).  The elastic of the suspension band helps to pull the cups against your head and slightly increases the clamping force from stock.  This can be tuned by increasing or decreasing the length of the elastic used, or by using a tighter or softer elastic.  The first strap that I made, I used elastic that was way too tight and it felt like the ear cups were smashing my head in, LOL.  After trying out a bunch of different elastics, I narrowed it down to what I have now
