I think he was referring to try before buy as in "buy, and try before deciding to keep or return". At least, that's his best option in hand, we do not have a French distributor...
Hi,
Both would be nice, but of course concrete store that I can try before I buy is better.
But if I buy, try and then decide not to keep it, I would like to be sure I can return it without any question and, ideally, without having to pay for return shipping.
And that is where the buy policy from the HiBy webstore does not fit my needs.
Because, from what I have read and understood, the HiBy store accept returns if device is defective. And even then if I remember correctly, I have to pay for return shipping. And I think you say you may take a fee because the device has been opened.
I would like to advise that, under those circumstances, you should not ship to European countries.
If I am not mistaken European rules say :
- 2 weeks to decide if you keep the device or not, and if you decide not to keep it, seller should take it back, no questions asked
- if device is returned because it is defective, seller can not take any fee and has to pay for return shipping charges
I think those rules apply as soon as you decide to sell in a European country.
Anyways, I will look into the return policies of those european online sellers. And hope they'll comply and apply those. I already bought a product from a reseller in the Netherlands (it was not a HiBy device) and he did not accept me to return the product even if it was defective. I had to publish super negative feedback all over audio sites before the manufacturer in China decided to intervene and offer to change the defective product for a brand new one.
