Enjoying a cold one and some classic Spanish Rock, while I look over what I'm going to teach my middle schoolers tomorrow. Also trying out a Tripowin modular cable I just picked up. Loving the feel and convenience so far.
This song and combo sounds like pure raw emotion
In my experience yes, but of course it’s a very subjective thing. They are a more neutral tuning with a reasonable bass boost and excellent technical capability - also great upper extension without being harsh. One of my favourite DDs!
Not sure what you mean. I think your VxV are custom that come standard with 2pin like all modern Fir gear. When the Universal VxV originally came out, they all came standard with a unique MMCX connection.

Recently traded the IE600 so I kept the sweet Null Audio cable I got for it. Decided to give the FHE some love and gave it it's own cable. For years the FHE has been permanently attached to my LC-BT2 for my previous heavy duty job. Now it's getting some much needed use around the house.
I never thought I would be able to afford a TOTL IEM. I know it is hard to draw a line where the TOTL gear starts, but to me, there was no way I would ever think of owning something like the U12T, even in the 2nd hand market. But finally managed to afford one with a trade.
I did not set my expectations high because I have learned of the diminishing returns with the gear I already own.
However, I kid you not when I say that from the first song, and every song after while shuffling through the tiny 5K, I kept getting goosebumps! I guess I went in thinking I would be let down and the sound would be similar to what I already own. Boy was I wrong. The soundstage is wide, the sounds are clearly separated, I can't even describe everything because I'm not a reviewer lol.
Usually anything new I get I test versus the Tea 2 as my benchmark that separates the top level keepers, the budget beater keepers, or the resellers. This one was an immediate keeper. The only comparisons I might try one day are against the Mest, or the Starlight to see who has the best detail retrieval.
This hobby can be as expensive as you want it, but when you're in it simply for fun, the smiles and surprises are so much more meaningful.
